The codes of music theory have become the most fruitful subject of my work. Tone poems (or graphical scores) can be interpreted and played by the viewer’s eye and musician’s instrument. Specific arrangements of tones, space, color and time can be used as rhythmic rituals influencing internal and external spaces; the modern research of synesthesia proves that our senses are intertwined. I ally and collaborate with contemporary artists who recontextualize mediums in gallery, club and theatre settings. In this light, I am a performer, composer and painter looking to refresh perspectives on color, sound, rhythm, and ritual/performance for myself, those I collaborate with and the audience.
