the accompanying poem:

I, Red, sail to Cythera,
By wind of music.
Upon emerald ripples,
The moon writes a path luminescent.
Music, I hear, 
from a giant bird? Or waves?
Song dance in a lighthouse shore.
Yes, it is Aphrodite, basked aquamarine.

I, Red, revel in opulence,
I know only dream.
Driven by star gazing song,
Clearing the fog of symbols.
Sails filled by emotion,
Rooted modernity is love for quest.
Soon, we join,
Despite storm.

This piece was created by filtering information from
a specific day in time.

By cross-referencing various calendrical mythology 
of that specific date, I've devised a poem (above).
From this poem I create a painting,
each layer of the painitng is an
interpretation of this poem's permutations.

The mythologies I mainly focus on to gather information 
of the day are ancient Native American and Greek calendrical mythology;  
as well as contemporary personal mythological findings.
